COBRA detectives located the vehicle used in a car-to-car shooting that happened in Canyon Country on March 27, 2017.
On March 27, 2017, Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call on the 17000 block of Soledad Canyon Road, Canyon Country.
In a case of possible road rage, an unknown suspect fired two rounds at a families’ vehicle when he was unable to pass their car and merge into their lane. The victim was driving eastbound on Soledad Canyon Road with his wife and two young children, ages 5 and 8, when the incident occurred. The description of the suspect’s vehicle, a black Lincoln SUV, was provided to deputies.
Since this crime happened, COBRA detectives have not stopped investigating it. Through investigative work and tips from the community, detectives were able to pinpoint the location of a vehicle matching the description of the suspect’s vehicle. On April 18, 2017, COBRA detectives served a Search Warrant at a Canyon Country residence on Hidden Oak Place. The black Lincoln SUV on the premises of the property was deemed to be the vehicle used in the crime. The vehicle was towed from the location and booked as evidence. Detectives will continue investigating this crime until an arrest is made.
