Singer-guitarist Savannah Burrows, who won the local round of the KHTS Country Showdown last year, returns to the stage at Central Park on Saturday, July 29, at 7 p.m.
Part of the city of Santa Clarita’s summer Concerts in the Park series presented by Logix Federal Credit Union, Burrows is set to perform in front of nearly 15,000 fans in a concert that will also feature country music group Double Wide.
Burrows competed in the regional round of the 2016 Country Showdown, a competition that has featured some of the biggest names in country music, including Garth Brooks, Jason Aldean, Toby Keith and Luke Bryan. She beat out 10 acts in the local competition before winning at the California finals last September.
In addition to competing in the nationwide Country Showdown, Burrows has opened for the Swon Brothers, nominees for the Academy of Country Music award for Best Vocal Duo. She has also performed live at the Blue Bird Café in Nashville, on the same stage where country music icons Garth Brooks and Taylor Swift were discovered.
The city’s Concerts in the Park series is an ongoing summer event on Saturdays beginning at 7 p.m. from July 8 through August 26.
The July 29 show featuring Burrows and Double Wide is the lone country music performance on the schedule this season.
