Widely considered one of the country’s premier tributes to The Beatles, The Sun Kings will headline the final show in the 2017 Concerts in the Park series on Saturday, August 26, starting at 7 p.m.
The Sun Kings are described as “a Beatles tribute as nature intended.” The band’s energy, style and ability to recreate the Fab Four’s iconic music have garnered praise from fans and critics alike. Based in California, The Sun Kings continue to pack theaters and venues along the west coast and beyond.
Fans of The Beatles will hear their favorites spanning the group’s entire career, as The Sun Kings feature a repertoire that consists of more than 150 songs. From Hamburg to the Apple rooftop, The Sun Kings deliver spot-on arrangements and vocals that take listeners back to the first time they heard the rock and roll stars from Liverpool.
Concerts in the Park is a series of free concerts put on by the city every Saturday night during July and August. The family-friendly atmosphere allows residents and visitors to sit back, relax and enjoy the music all summer long.
Concert-goers are encouraged to bring beach chairs and blankets and food vendors will be on site selling a variety of concessions and snacks. A free bicycle valet service is provided by the SCV Bicycle Coalition, allowing residents to bike to and from the concert and avoid the hassle of finding a place to park.
The concert is presented by Logix Federal Credit Union. Central Park is located at 27150 Bouquet Canyon Road, Saugus 91350.
