Seasonal Park Aide (2 openings)
Part Time Seasonal Employment Opportunity, Starting pay: $10.43 hour
We are looking for people with a desire to work with children and school groups for our overnight Student Living History Program.
Qualifications:
Applicant must be willing to wear period clothing, work outside, and complete period tasks like start fires, clean dutch ovens, and haul water.
Ability to perform varied tasks, clean restrooms, and assist the volunteer program
Must clear a background check.
Must be willing to work on weekends and holidays and at odd or irregular hours.
Ability to read, write and speak English at a level required for successful job performance
Ability to follow directions, learn work procedures and park rules, and meet the public successfully.
Must purchase and wear park uniform.
Senior Park Aide
Part Time, Seasonal Employment Opportunity, Starting pay: $11.97 hour
We are looking for a Senior Park Aide to lead two Park Aides and our overnight Student Living History Program.
Qualifications:
Applicant must be willing to work weekends, holidays, and odd or irregular hours.
Possession of a valid California driver’s license
Equivalent to completion of the 12th grade and 1,000 hours of experience as a Park Aide/ Maintenance Park Aide (Seasonal) in park operations
OR one year experience in construction, equipment maintenance or operation, building repair, or mechanical trades
OR one year experience in conducting educational programs, recreational programs or public service programs.
Must clear a background check and wear park uniform.
