[Eternal Valley] – Eternal Valley Memorial Park Mortuary, a local Dignity Memorial provider, released its 2012 Holiday Flower Schedule and announced events celebrating Mother’s Day and Father’s Day.
Eternal Valley invites all mothers and fathers to participate in an informal reception where they will be acknowledged with a token of appreciation when visiting on Mother’s Day or Father’s Day respectively. The receptions will be held in the Mortuary building and will continue throughout the day.
“Moms and Dads have the most important job in the world, and at Eternal Valley we are honored to be able to show our appreciation for the hard work, perseverance, love and dedication they show to their families and to our communities,” said Rachel Vargas, General Manager of Eternal Valley Memorial Park Mortuary.
2012 Holiday Flower Schedule
Recognizing that certain times of the year are more difficult for grieving families or bring back special memories that loved ones wish to express through tokens or displays, Eternal Valley has designated specific holiday periods where flowers and decorations may be left graveside that exceed the standard policy, as long as they do not create a safety hazard. Decorations may begin after 12 noon on Thursdays after flower removal has been completed. For 2012 this includes:
• Mother’s Day: May 3 – 16
• Memorial Day: May 24 – 30
• Father’s Day: June 14 –20
• Halloween: October 18 – 27
• Thanksgiving: November 15 – 28
• Christmas/New Years: December 6, 2012 – January 2, 2013
All flowers and/or decorations must comply with Eternal Valley’s policy and fit inside of a standard ground or bronze vase for the safety of visitors and staff for all other dates in 2012. Decorations will be removed and disposed of on the retrieval date indicated.
