Charges against Arvizu have been dropped.  Read more here.

[KHTS] – Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station detectives are investigating a Newhall stabbing that took place around 12:50 a.m. Saturday outside the VU Bar and Lounge, officials said.

KHTSRobert Arvizu, a 47-year-old Newhall man, allegedly stabbed the two victims in the abdomen, said Lt. Mark Hershey of the Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Station.

The victims, whose names were not released Sheriff’s Station officials, were taken to the hospital with wounds that were not life-threatening, Hershey said.

An alleged fight within the VU, involving a group of people, spilled out onto the street and ended with the stabbing.

Alcohol was involved in the incident, Hershey said.

Arvizu was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon, a felony charge, according to Sheriff’s Station arrest records.

Arvizu is currently being held on $120,000 bail at the Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Station, according to the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department Information Center website.

    Looks like a winner place

  2. I miss my generation, you could go out to a bar or night club and not worry about this kind of stuff….people use to go out to have fun, not fight.

  3. Such a classy bar. Ugh.

  4. Virgil the guy who did the stabbing was 47, he is your generation!

  5. Well these ain’t the good old days anymore, are they? :/ smdh

  6. We better outlaw knives now.

  7. Drunks outside of a dive bar fighting? Wow, never heard of that before…

  8. Of all places Newhall, that’s such a nice area LOL!!!!

  9. I know rob and whoa is all I got to say

    • Kellie says:

You know Rob? Would you have ever thought he would kill his wife 2 years later? I hope he dies in prison…a very painful death. He was evil SOB.

  10. Never been to the Vu but wow

  11. Chris ,, working on details

  12. There was a fight at the VU with a stabbing?! Shoulda done a pay per view bro vs bro match.

  13. Imagine that !
    Shocking ! Not the VU
Drunks fighting at a dive bar ?! No way!

  14. Philip there goes your favorite place!

  15. Rob had to have been defending himself. Not that stabbing is ever ok but he’s not the type of person to just stab someone for no reason.

    • Kellie says:

Why not? He beat his wife and strangled her to death. Seems like he was working his way up to murder in 2014.

  16. Drinky drinky!
    Punchy punchy!
    Burp.

  17. Mark says:

What’s a 47 year old guy going to the Vu anyway?? Can we say freak??

  18. What a pussy for stabbing…man up and put your fist up!

  19. Scott Bond says:

    I don’t recall ever hearing of a 1 on 2 .
    but I’m familiar with 2 on 1.
I remain unconvinced that the 47
Was a the aggressor or first action.

  20. Mark Amaya says:

Rob is way cool and easy going and not a trouble maker or looks for fights there had to be a very good reason for it to get that out of control and hopefully they will get to the bottom of this . He had to be protecting himself especially 2 on 1 . Good to hear the stabbing victims will be ok though either way .

    • Kellie says:

His friends and family testified at his recent murder trial after he killed his wife of 2 months. They didn’t know him as a bad guy either. His past girlfriends on the other hand knew him as a monster. One of his friends knew of his dark side and told the judge to keep in in prison so he could never hurt another person. Good riddance.

  21. Dave Bogna says:

I stabbed a girl there once.
    With my penis

  22. ,what was the helicopter spot light over Bridgeport last night ?

  23. Brett Byers says:

Can’t believe this! Rob…. No way

  24. Someone said it was the wrong person named. Would make much more sense if that’s true and it wasn’t rob!

  25. Brandon M. Good point, maybe I miss the eighties, when generation grew up….I remember when anyone got stupid it was usually followed up with an apology and a cold beer, just saying :-) …..respect means something completely different now days, a lot of people today think it should be fear based….where in the 80’s it was based on common decency and appreciation.

  26. Clarissa Marie Lozano and u wanted to go last night!

  27. I don’t believe Rob did this , never knew him to be confrontational

  28. Who hangs out in Newhall? I can’t remember the last time I even drove through it!!!

  29. John Graham says:

There was a hip hop ticket with several acts cycling through. Pretty rough, territorial crowd…

  30. Joseph Finch says:

Does anyone know who the victims are

  31. Scott Hunt says:

I was there. Nobody could leave until they questioned you and filmed you.

  32. Wow its not just Vegas with all the stabbings lately

  33. Chuck Giglio says:

I had to retract my comment… Seems Robert was a good dude

  34. I have known Rob almost 30 years, I can’t see him being involved in something like this, never even knew him to carry a weapon ever!! Something’s fishy., but maybe stay away from a bar that is welcoming the rougher biker crowd

    • pat says:

i met the guy once and have never in my life met someone who I thought was more dangerous I told my girl I never want to be around that guy again. now do you still feel the same way? never be involved? well he is going away for murder maybe you should check your people reading skills better

    • Kellie says:

Tell me, how do you think about him now that he murdered his wife of 2 months and is serving a 25 to life sentence? Not such a good guy huh.

  35. There’s no way he would have done this

  36. If anyone saw the fight or was there can u message me please

  56. DL Thompson says:

OMG people can’t just along anymore

  57. Clap clap thumbs up thumbs up lol

  58. He was released!!!!!!!!!!! Totally was not him like we all knew!!

  59. Daniel K says:

As of this morning Rob was released from custody… No charges filed against him and no future court appearance..!

People are all too quick to believe these rushed and unverified news reports…

I’ve known Rob for years and never known him to cary a knife… One look at him would prove that he does not need one..!

The Vago bikers that were the root of the altercation on the other hand always feel the need to carry weapons…

He was in the middle of a bad situation at a real bad time…
    End of story…

Myself and the rest of Robs family and friends would appreciate an update to this article explaining that he is not guilty of this..!

    • Kellie says:

He can’t be that great of a guy considering he is in prison serving a life sentence for murdering his wife Courtney.
