The Santa Clarita WorkSource Center will partner with the Salvation Army to provide one-on-one job search assistance to military veterans. Beginning October 15, 2014, appointments are available between 8:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on every third Wednesday of the month. Appointments will be held at the Santa Clarita WorkSource Center, located at the College of the Canyons’ University Center in Suite 250, at 26455 Rockwell Canyon Road.
The Salvation Army has decades of experience in supporting America’s veterans, and has proudly partnered with Santa Clarita’s WorkSource Center to assist local veterans in their job search. Veterans are in demand at many local businesses, and these one-on-one appointments at the Santa Clarita WorkSource Center will help veterans to be suitably matched with searching employers.
“The City of Santa Clarita was recently ranked among the top 20 cities in California for job seekers. We’re making sure this reputation also applies to our American heroes by partnering with the Salvation Army to offer dedicated, personal job search assistance to military veterans,” said Mayor Laurene Weste.
Local veterans interested in participating in the one-one-one job search training must make an appointment by calling the Santa Clarita WorkSource Center at (661) 799-9675.
