During the first six months of implementing Assembly Bill 60, the California Department of Motor Vehicles has issued approximately 397,000 driver licenses to undocumented applicants who have met all requirements necessary to enjoy driving privileges in California. This figure represents more than half of the total 759,000 original driver licenses that have distributed during the first half of 2015.
“The latest numbers reflect the continued successful implementation of AB 60,” said DMV Director Jean Shiomoto. “The DMV was determined to develop a process that would not only meet the stringent requirements of this new law, but also the unique needs of our newly expanded customer base.”
Since the Safe and Responsible Driver Act was implemented on January 2, 2015, the DMV has received approximately 687,000 AB 60 driver license applications. As part of the process, applicants must prove their identity and California residency, as well as meet all other licensing requirements such as passing the knowledge and behind-the-wheel exams. Here is the approximate number of tests administered between January 1, 2015 and June 30, 2015:
AB 60 Knowledge Test: 1,116,000
AB 60 Drive Test: 436,000
Statewide Knowledge Test: 2,324,000 Pass: 47% Fail: 53%
Statewide Drive Test: 928,000 Pass 71% Fail 29%
This data reflects the number of individual transactions. If a customer takes a particular test multiple times, each attempt is included in the statistics. Statewide data reflects all tests administered, including AB 60 applicants.
AB 60 Customer Visits: 1,462,000
Statewide Customer Visits: 5,636,000 (includes AB 60 applicants)

And has made a trip to the dmv even more of a nightmare. They should have separate dedicated sites for illegals
…or appointments.
Oh wait…
Glad I have uninsured motorist
The two times I’ve been in a car accident, only one of the drivers was uninsured. A man born in the SCV, white as they come. The other? A fully insured immigrant from Guatemala.

having seperate dedicated sites for illegals… ummm segregate others because they are illegal and your ass doesnt have patience to wait. Make a God damn appointment if you dont want to wait in the long ass lines. or do everything online… idiots
Wish the CA State Legislators treated legal gun owning American Citizens as well as they treat Illegal Aliens. I was taught growing up that crime didn’t pay, but now….
Ignorance is strength my friend.
I feel safer already, up those comprehensive and uninsured motorists coverage people!
If they make them use them to vote, then I’d be ok with it. Then we’d know if they are citizens. I assume that shows on their license. If not I’m in shock! The election would be rigged.
You’re assuming it’s not already, with all the dead people on the rolls…
That license says, federal limits apply.
Sounds good to me
Ugh
Also glad I have uninsured motorist insurance
I can’t wait to sneak into Mexico. Next I’ll demand my free housing, money, medical and food vouchers. I’m willing to work and send all my money back to the States.
And when we were young you could NOT get a license even if you were documented if you could not take the test in English. Oy.
