  2. Nicole Galdi says:

    Not surprising ? rip

  3. Ronald Lewis says:

Granery square in front of cvs. They had to use a jack to lift the car off the body of the man. He was rushed to the hospital to only pass away unfortunately.

  4. Why would this not be surprising ? ??

  5. Gee Hawd says:

Lets pay more attn less social media bs

  6. Teresa Cattigan Schaefer, weren’t you just saying something about this parking lot?

  7. I hate that parking lot. That’s so sad

  8. May his soul RIP. May the Lord give comfort to his love ones on this sad day.

  9. Oh NO that is horrible…. =( slow down people!!!! Rushing around isn’t worth a life. So sad…

  10. Rick Polanco says:

People drive so fast in that lot.

  11. Karina Diaz says:

Granery Square is full of scum bags…I blame it on the Alamo. :( prayers for this man and his family…

  12. This Just makes me so mad. The idiot that hit this elderly man just ended his life. Why!! Because you can’t slow down. That’s horrible. Poor man and I feel for the family. Rip. ??

  13. That parking lot is awful. I bank at the first entertainment credit union in the corner and cringe every time I have to go there, especially because I drive a big truck and people are always in such a damn rush in that lot!

  14. Santa Clarita ……you have a problem……you need a grant for the Office of Traffic Safety to teach people pedestrian and bicycle safety. True story…I stopped for a middle school aged child to cross the street with the light at Decoro and Grandview a few months ago. TWO cars behind me in the Northbridge Point neighborhood side, started blaring their horns at me. Shaking their heads because I stopped and was in their way… They didn’t even SEE the kid. Wake up and don’t be such stupid and selfish asses!!! No grant will fix that however……

  15. Jenn McCall says:

We are there a few days a week. I will be even More vigilant than I am now. May he rest in peace.

  16. This is very sad. The woman who hit the poor man, was an 81 year old woman that accidentally accelerated instead of breaking. Tragic accident. No social media involved, no speeding teenager, no drinker from Alamo…..let’s all read the facts before jumping to conclusions. Very sad for all involved.

  17. Lee Poepping says:

Such a waste of a life. Both the driver and pedestrian. The drive has to live with it forever. Two families possibly ruined for years

  18. This is a terrible tragedy no matter which way anyone wants to look at it. The man, rest his soul, the elder driver and all their families. However, we have seen this before at some point it would be great if the DMV would start to do simulator tests for reaction times on seniors. If they pass, that’s great. If they dont, well…..it’s time to be driven around. Nothing against seniors, as I too intend to be a senior one day and I would be held to the same standard

  19. Marie Cooper says:

This is very sad for everyone.

  20. Prayers for both families involved.

  21. people need to slow the F down ! i hope the person who killed that person goes to jail

  22. Juanita Mera says:

Ninequi Mera pls make sure you are careful ?

  23. Eric Scholes says:

    Maybe he cheated on her

  24. Seriously do you people read before you post negative comments ? Not speeding !!! Not drunk!!! Not on social Media !!! Another thing they are called accidents for a reason.

  25. Hayden Clark says:

Guess she will live out the last few years in prison

  26. Judith Boyd says:

Pedestrians have the right of way. However, they really need to be vigilant. Not all drivers yield, intentionally or in this case, unintentionally. Sad for all.

  27. Benny Guzman says:

We all need to slow down while driving through any and all parking lots.

  28. I saw the aftermath but wasn’t sure what happened! Just devastating?I’m so sad for the victim and the driver…couldn’t even imagine !!!!???

  29. Anonymous says:

Need speed bumps , and some old folks need to know when to stop driving !!!!

  30. It isn’t surprising. I almost was killed there too about 10yrs ago when a car turned left as I went straight before they made the turn signal going into that center. Too many people are in too much of a rush and I was lucky my car got thrown between the light and the tree but if not I would be like this poor man who lost their lives to people going too fast there.

  31. Damian says:

This is sad BUT doesn’t surprise me. People in santa clarita have become so careless even I have had close calls. People have become in such a rush and careless for other people on the road and pedestrians it’s not even funny. I have been almost hit many times walking in a cross walk tailgated harassed with brights in my rear view mirror ect. Santa clarita people have changed from the 90s early 2000 I have lived in Valencia for 28 years and the rudeness disregard for other people is overwhelming.

  32. I was there this morning. It was such Sad event. I am so sorry he passed away ??

  33. Haley Boo says:

    Shaun Mendez Heather Boyce Mendez

  34. John M says:

The Dumbass guys & Entitled girls who don’t know the difference between street speed & parking lot speed are responsible for this tragedy. I don’t think they have the common sense to understand the difference & obviously they either didn’t get any driver education or the driving instructors didn’t feel this was important. There would be no speed bumps in parking lot if these folks were competent drivers
