A 911 call came in at 2:36 a.m. on Thursday morning to dispatchers at Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
“911, what’s your emergency?”
“There’s a woman walking around my neighborhood checking cars to see if they are unlocked…”
Units were immediately dispatched with lights and sirens to a Saugus neighborhood located near Milestone Street and Incline Avenue to check on the suspicious activity.
A female adult, matching the suspect’s description, was detained by deputies in the area, however her companions and ‘getaway vehicle’ had fled the scene. One of the responding deputies spotted a suspicious vehicle driving with its lights turned off on a neighboring street, however the vehicle left the scene and went out of view.
Deputies, in addition to air resources, began combing the surrounding areas searching for the wanted suspects. It was reported that the suspect(s) abandoned their vehicle on Bobwhite Circle, and had fled on foot. Deputies set up a containment in the area, and were able to successfully apprehend all of the suspects.
A total of five adults, two males and three females, 22-44 years of age, from the San Fernando Valley and Long Beach area, were arrested on multiple charges including grand theft auto, mail theft, narcotics, identity theft, petty theft and possession of burglary tools.
Successfully locating and arresting these individuals who were victimizing our City’s residents was a direct result of the strong partnership we are proud to share with our Santa Clarita Valley community.
We commend the citizen who reported suspicious activity, which enabled us to swiftly respond and take these individuals into custody. Thank you for helping keep our Valley safe.

Angela Felice Swartz right by your house. Lock those cars. Yikes!
We saw a bunch if sheriff yesterday down the street, now I know what was going on. Glad they caught them all.
Seems there is still gold up in those there hills – SCV hills
I hope they were quiet when close to the area. Makes it hard to catch people when they can hear you coming from miles away with sirens blaring.
However they handled it though good job catching these losers.
I’m glad they got all five. Can they had disturbing the peace to one of the charges? Really appreciate the ghetto bird flying right over my house at 3am with the PA blasting.

Good job! The woman’s companions thru her under the bus. Let’s hope they all learn something out of this and aren’t back on the street in the next 10 years.
