Aug. 23: Doo Wop Concert presented by the SCV Senior Center Silvertone Singers at SCV Senior Center
Time: 2:30 p.m.

Sha-lang, Sha-lang! Doo-wa-diddy! The Silvertone Singers perform popular doo-wop songs from the 50’s and 60’s such as Rockin’ Robin, Sh-Boom, Under the Boardwalk, Earth Angel and many more as you drift back in time to those carefree summer days of youth.

Aug. 23: New Heights | Taxes and the Artist at The MAIN
Time: 7:00 p.m.

In “Taxes and the Artist,” tax expert Scott Rubenstein will go over the basics of how artists should properly navigate through the tax system. Wondering as an artist what to write-off as an expense, how to determine which taxes to pay, or what steps to take to work most effectively and within the law? These frequently asked questions and more will be answered by Scott.

Aug. 25: 40 oz to Freedom (Sublime Tribute) – Concerts in the Park at Central Park
Time: 7:00 p.m.

Catch 40 oz. to Freedom and enjoy a professional tribute to Sublime with the greatest hits from now and then. 40 oz. to Freedom has played venues in Canada, Colorado, California, Texas and more. In 2010, the band won the San Diego Music Award for Best Tribute and has developed one of the largest tribute band followings in the world with their So-Cal vibe, thumping bass lines, rad beats and shredding guitar riffs topped off with soul quenching vocals.
