Crime-HEADER-8

[KHTS] – “Six individuals went into a store on the 28400 block of Haskell Canyon Road and allegedly tried to use fraudulent credit cards,” said Deputy Kevin Duxbury of the Crime Prevention Unit.

The suspects — four men and two women, all from Oakland and ages 24-57 —  are accused of trying to use fake credit cards with the suspects’ names linked to other people’s credit.

Their names are not being released at this time because it’s part of an ongoing investigation, Duxbury said.

Employees became alarmed during the transaction and called Sheriff’s Station deputies while the suspects were still at the business, around 8:45 a.m.

Deputies arrived and arrested the suspects on charges of theft by access card, identity theft and conspiracy, according to officials.
