The next meeting of the California High-Speed Rail Authority’s Board of Directors is set for downtown Los Angeles on Tuesday, April 17, starting at 10 a.m.

The meeting’s location will be the Metropolitan Water District Board Room at 700 N. Alameda Street, Los Angeles 90012, next door to Union Sation.

Agenda Item No. 4 is of interest to Santa Clarita Valley residents because it will establish a schedule for decisions about the path the bullet train may take from three proposed routes through or around the SCV.

The complete agenda follows:

PUBLIC COMMENT – SESSION I (ACTION ITEMS)
For this meeting, an opportunity for public comment on only the ACTION items listed as Agenda Items #1 through #3 will be provided at the outset of the meeting.

Those persons who wish to comment on Agenda Items #1 through #3 are required to submit their requests to the Board Secretary before the start of the meeting by filling in the green cards.

Typically, public comment will be limited to two minutes per person, however the Chair may decide to shorten or lengthen the public comment periods, at his or her discretion. Agenda Items may be taken out of order.

For this meeting, an opportunity for public comment on only the INFORMATIONAL items listed as Agenda Items #4 and #5 and any non-agenda items will be provided at the completion of Agenda Item #5.

Those persons who wish to comment on the INFORMATIONAL agenda items and non-agenda items are required to submit their requests to the Board Secretary before the start of the meeting by filling in the green cards.

Typically, public comment will be limited to two minutes per person, however, the Chair may decide to shorten or lengthen the public comment periods, at his or her discretion. Agenda Items may be taken out of order.

6. Closed Session Pertaining to Litigation
The Authority will meet in closed session pursuant to Government Code section 11126(e)(1)&(2)(A) to confer with counsel with regard to the following litigation:
