The city of Santa Clarita invites members of the community to Fiesta Mexicana on Sunday, April 3 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Newhall Community Center.

Fiesta Mexicana is a free, family-friendly event.

The Newhall Community Center will be transformed into a culture experience for community members of all ages to enjoy. Attendees will enjoy an afternoon of festive performances including live music from Mariachi Rey de América, a mariachi band who has been performing for over twenty years.

Attendees will also be entertained with dance performances by the city of Santa Clarita’s Ballet Folklórico program. Ballet Folklórico is a story told through dance and teaches teamwork, poise and confidence.

During the event, The ARTree Community Arts Center, along with kids from the community, will paint colorful faces on foam puzzle pieces using acrylic paints. When the paintings are completed, they will fit together to make a patchwork puzzle of faces. The mural will be displayed at the Newhall Community Center and will represent the diversity of the Newhall Community Center’s members.

In addition to dancing and musical performances, residents can enjoy authentic food for purchase and an inflatable jump for children.
