Air quality is unhealthy for sensitive individuals again Friday in the Santa Clarita Valley, downtown Los Angeles and Southeast LA County and unhealthy for all individuals in the San Gabriel Valley and East San Gabriel Valley, according to an alert from the South Coast Air Quality Management District.
In his alert, County Health Officer Muntu Davis, MD, MPH, advises people living or working in those areas with heart disease, asthma or other respiratory diseases to minimize outdoor activities.
Children who have sensitive conditions, including heart disease, asthma, and other chronic respiratory diseases, should not participate in unhealthy outdoor physical activity at schools, camps and other recreational programs and should stay indoors as much as possible.
