Assemblyman Scott Wilk, R-Santa Clarita, toured the new Community Resource Center in Porter Ranch Friday set up by Southern California Gas Company in response to the Aliso Canyon gas leak.scottwilk_mug2013

“I want to be sure the residents of the Porter Ranch community have access to the resources they need during this unfortunate situation,” Wilk said. “I encourage the community to utilize the resource center to stay informed while the issue is being resolved.”

The new community resource center will offer guidance on securing temporary accommodations, how to file a claim, and how to get free home air filtration and weather stripping to reduce odor relating to the gas leak at the Aliso Canyon Storage Field.

It is located at 19731 Rinaldi St., just south of Ralphs grocery store in the Porter Ranch Town Center. The Community Resource Center will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekends.

Anyone with questions or concerns about the leak can contact the company via email at alisocanyon@socalgas.com or 818-435-7707.

The 38th Assembly District encompasses Simi Valley, the northwestern section of the San Fernando Valley and most of the Santa Clarita Valley.
