At approximately 10:50 a.m. Wednesday morning, Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies responded to a call of an attempted kidnapping that occurred on the corner of Magic Mountain Parkway and McBean Parkway in Valencia.
The victim, a woman in her 20s, reported she was stopped at the corner of the above intersection with her two small children in a jogging stroller when an unknown suspect approached her from behind.
The suspect, described as a male white adult, possibly transient, in his 60s, approximately 5 ‘8″, 180 lbs., blonde hair with tattoos and wearing a green shirt, allegedly grabbed the handle of the stroller and began pulling it backward away from the victim.
There was a struggle that ensued between the victim and the suspect in an effort to gain control of the stroller.
The victim was able to regain control of the stroller, ran from the location and immediately contacted the sheriff’s station.
Deputies were dispatched to the surrounding areas but were unable to locate the suspect.
Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to contact the SCV Sheriff’s Station at 661-255-1121.

Any description of the tattoos would be helpful. If we knew what they look like or if they are particularly distinctive, it could mean the difference whether or not someone is confident enough to call the police.
Holy crap!
This is why I get so nervous when I see these moms walking with there babies. If your gonna do it please.. Please… Carry something that can protect you and your babies! Pepper spray or anything like that. I’m glad that this incident had a good outcome. Please! Be careful! ??
Was there nobody at the intersection that saw this? Heaviest traffic day I’m surprised nobody witnessed and intervened. So thankful they are safe.
