Public Safety and Crime Prevention Information for the week of 08/31/2015 to 09/06/2015

 

This past week in Zone 7, the following Part-1 Crimes are currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Valley Station detectives:

A residential burglary occurred near the 27300 block of Camp Plenty Road. Person(s) unknown forced entry into the victim’s apartment and stole items from within.

A petty theft occurred near the 19300 block of Soledad Canyon Road. Person(s) unknown stole the victim’s cell phone and pre-paid laundry card from a table while the victim was not looking.

A petty theft occurred near the 18500 block of Soledad Canyon Road. Person(s) unknown stole the victim’s backpack containing numerous items from the back of his open truck bed.

A shoplifting occurred near the 18600 block of Via Princessa. One suspect was arrested for taking store items and making no attempt to pay for the items.

With the final Foothill League football contests coming this Friday, Nov. 1, six teams have a last opportunity to hold on or shake things up. Castaic (2-4, 4-6) has a bye and will have to see how it all plays out. Post season games will depend on the final league standings, and the CIF Southern Section will live-announce post season playoff teams and brackets for 11-man football on Sunday, Nov. 3 at 10 a.m. at cifss.org.
