The American tradition of parades, cookouts, and fireworks help us celebrate the summer season, especially our nation’s birthday on the Fourth of July. However, fireworks can turn a joyful celebration into a painful memory when property is damaged or children or adults are injured. Please remember the county unincorporated areas and the city of Santa Clarita prohibit all forms of fireworks, including “Safe and Sane” fireworks. Play it safe, go to a public show near you. www.SAFEJULY4TH.ORG Happy 4th!

Please remember to never leave valuables in plain view in your vehicle, close and lock your doors. Minimize your risk and avoid being the victim of a crime of opportunity. If you see any suspicious activity, call the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station at (661) 255-1121 or 9-1-1 in an emergency.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding Zone 2 (Castaic or Val Verde), please feel free to email or call me directly.

  1. Officer Rooney. ..
My 9 yr old looks up to you. .thanks for all your help with after school homework. …

  2. I honor officers of the law that follow order, but certain officers that act in an injustice way make me cring and there is many of those in Valencia, Santa Clarita, Newhall that are bullheaded to the traffic of these area’s. Follow rules as simple as lane change indication, speed regulation. As far as i know mind reading isnt a natural instinct.
