It’s time for Dodger baseball and the City of Santa Clarita invites residents to cheer on the boys in blue as they take on the Colorado Rockies at the 37th annual Santa Clarita Valley Dodger Day on Saturday, April 26, 2014.

This year’s game will be extra special as Santa Clarita Valley Boys & Girls Club Director Jim Ventress will throw out the ceremonial first pitch. Ventress has served as the Chief Professional Officer of the Santa Clarita Valley Boys & Girls Club for 29 years and is planning to retire in June 2014. In recognition of his leadership and dedication to supporting children and families of the Santa Clarita Valley, Ventress is bestowed the highest honor any baseball fan can imagine: throwing the first pitch before the start of a game.
SCV Dodger Day tickets can be purchased online or at the City of Santa Clarita’s Aquatic Center, located at 20850 Centre Pointe Parkway. Each school and non-profit group that sells over 10 tickets will receive a rebate. Money generated from this event will help support local schools and non-profit groups.
