The City of Santa Clarita is seeking volunteers for the Wings for Life World Run, starting at the Westfield Valencia Town Center on Sunday, May 3, 2015 and the Amgen Tour of California Stage 5 Finish at the Westfield Valencia Town Center on Thursday, May 14, 2015.
The City of Santa Clarita will act as the only west coast city to host the Wings for Life World Run. In 35 locations worldwide, participants will begin the race at the same time on May 3 (4:00 a.m. PST) and try to avoid “catcher cars.” Once a catcher car passes a runner, their race is finished.
There are a variety of volunteer positions available including packet pick-up, water stations, medal distribution and others. To help out at the Wings for Life World Run, all volunteers must register online [here]. Participants can apply singularly or in groups.
For the seventh time in race history, the City of Santa Clarita will act as Host City to the Amgen Tour of California. This year, the City will host the Stage 5 finish with cyclists racing from Santa Barbara. A Lifestyle Festival will be held at the Westfield Valencia Town Center, beginning at 11 a.m. leading up to the thrilling race finish between 3:30 p.m. and 4 p.m.
The City is seeking parking monitors and security volunteers for this exciting event. Interested volunteers can register at SantaClaritaVolunteers.com.
