The Santa Clarita Valley Senior Center will be offering a free workshop for senior women.
The Purpose & Productivity as a Senior Woman, an empowering Senior Women Workshop will be held Tuesday, Dec. 5 from 2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. at the SCV Senior Center, located at 22900 Market St., Newhall, 91321.
The Purpose & Productivity workshop offers guidance, resources, and strategies for senior women who would like to join the workforce, including part-time. Also learn about volunteer opportunities to fulfill community needs and find your sense of purpose.
Presenters include Seema Shaw, Executive Director of HandsOn Santa Clarita which connects local non-profit organizations with volunteers; Joel Morgan, Regional Director of Workforce & Career Development at America’s Job Center of California; Kevin MacDonald, Executive Director of the SCV Senior Center, has developed and implemented a successful employment program and career development center; and Robin Clough, Volunteer Coordinator at the SCV Senior Center, coordinates 250 volunteers monthly, many of whom are senior women.
