Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies arrested a man on two felony firearms charges in Castaic early Friday morning.
Here’s the story from the station’s social media:
Prevented a business from being burglarized?? We’ll never know for sure — but what we do know is a deputy was conducting patrol checks Friday in Castaic on Hasley Canyon Road when he observed an adult male in a car parked near a business.
“Suspicious? Maybe not, if it was during daytime hours. However, this was at 1:45 a.m. and the business was closed.
“The deputy decided to make contact with the man, to, first of all, make sure he was ok and didn’t need assistance of any sort.
“After the deputy made contact with the man, he discovered there was a loaded firearm sitting on the back seat of the vehicle, and the man had a prior felony conviction for burglary.
“The deputy arrested the 43-year-old adult male on two felony firearm charges and transported him to the station’s jail.
“Sleep well SCV, we’ve got you covered.”
