Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station Crime Impact Team deputies arrested a 32-year-old Santa Clarita man Wednesday in connection with felony vandalism of a fountain on the corner of Stevenson Ranch Parkway and Holmes Place on New Year’s Eve.
The suspect, Alexus Corral, was arrested by CIT deputies around 1 p.m. and charged with felony vandalism.
“Liquid soap was poured into (the fountain), creating a foamy mess,” said Shirley Miller, SCV Sheriff’s Station spokeswoman.
Corral was also found to be on active parole for manslaughter.
Corral is now being held without bail at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station jail.
Surveillance cameras at the scene on New Year’s Eve showed the suspect getting out of a light colored Jaguar sedan with a Klass dealership plate.
Deputies released surveillance photos, which generated many tips from residents. Authorities commended the public for helping identify the suspect.
Officials estimated the suspect caused nearly $2,000 in damage to the fountain.

While he’s doin’ time he can get a Mr. Bubbles tattoo.
Why do none of these stories talk about what he did to the fountain. What happened to the fundamentals of journalism – who, what, why, when where?
Did he dump soap in it or something? Why is this not being reported.
GREAT JOB CATCHING THAT JACKASS
