Samuel Dixon Family Health Center’s Val Verde location was broken into during the early morning hours of August 29 and September 22, and the burglar or burglars stole office equipment from a detached office separate from the main clinic.
The estimated value of the items stolen on both occasions total $6,000.
Surveillance video shows an unknown suspect coming down the hillside next to the Dixon Health Center, climbing over the surrounding fence and prying open the back-office window (screen capture above).
The suspect is also observed vandalizing the adjacent parking lot and structures.
Both incidents have been reported to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Department and all surveillance video provided to detectives.
“These are unfortunate events, but thankfully they occurred after hours and our staff and patients were not in any danger,” said SDFHC CEO Philip Solomon.
“Although all the items are replaceable, the money we will use to replace these items takes away from medical care for individuals in need, particularly for the residents of the Val Verde community who make up most of our membership at this location,” Solomon said.
“Additional security measures have been taken to prevent future occurrences,” he said.
Any information regarding these incidents should be provided to the SCV Sheriff’s Station.
