“Dust,” a collection of Western-themed large scale paintings by contemporary, figurative painter Jorin Bossen, will be on display in the gallery at The MAIN in Old Town Newhall starting Tuesday, April 4, 2017. Bossen’s paintings possess a cinematic quality reminiscent of old Western movies, combining the use of composition, texture, detail and lack of detail, drips and lines to achieve his unique style.
The exhibit will be running through April and is free and open to residents during gallery hours; Tuesday through Friday, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The MAIN (formerly Repertory East Playhouse) is located at 24266 Main Street in Old Town Newhall.
Residents are invited to attend a free public art reception for “Dust” on Thursday, April 20 from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at The MAIN. Participants will enjoy light appetizers, entertainment and a chance to meet the artist.
Jorin Bossen is based in Los Angeles and has participated in multiple exhibits across the United States in over 35 group and solo exhibitions.
