Oak of the Golden Dream

WiSH_logoCome out and support Hart School District schools for a run/walk on Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013, sponsored by the WiSH Education Foundation. The event will consist of a 10k for seasoned runners and a 5k for those looking to run a shorter distance or enjoy a great walk. Both will begin on the newly renovated Placerita Junior High School field and travel along the beautiful South Fork Trail. The Kid-k will take place on the Placerita Junior High School track. This is a wonderful opportunity to join the community in getting some outdoor exercise while supporting academics, programs and extracurricular activities for all students in the Hart School District.

Register online at www.WiSHscv.org. Event day registration begins at 7am at Placerita and races begin at 8am.

The races run rain or shine, and will be followed by a breakfast hosted by the SCV Rotary Club included for all registered participants!  If you have a group of fans coming to support you on the run, invite them for breakfast for only $4. Tickets for the event are $30 for the 10k and 5k, which includes a t-shirt and breakfast ($25 without the t-shirt).  Kid-k is only $15 ($10 without the t-shirt) and includes the breakfast as well. Children five and under are free and all Kid-k runners are invited to breakfast following the race.

There will be trophies for several age groups and gender categories.  For students attending Hart School District schools, there will be a special trophy and reward to the school team with the greatest number of participants!

The event is sponsored by California Credit Union, Runner’s Lane and Jersey Mike’s.  More sponsorship opportunities are available; contact WiSH at 799-9474 or email Amy at wish@hartdistrict.org for more information and to register for the event.
