Nineteen classified employees were honored as the employees of the year Wednesday night at the William S. Hart Union High School District’s governing board meeting.

The employees, including custodians and secretaries, health technicians and therapists, represent every school and the district office.

“This is the best of what we are, nearly 2,000 employees all brought together to make this district the best it can be for the 22,000-plus students and their families,” said Hart School District Superintendent Vicki Engbrecht. “I am really happy to see their efforts rewarded like this.”
