1997 - Five bodies found during grading of Northlake development in Castaic; determined to be Jenkins graveyard [story]
reburial

sheriffline[KHTS] Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies responded Thursday to a report of a man found with his throat slashed in a warehouse bathroom at the Valencia Industrial Center around 11:25 a.m., officials said Thursday.

The man was found alive inside the restroom of a business in the 24900 block of Avenue Kearny in Valencia, according to Sheriff’s Station officials.

Deputies and Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau detectives were on scene Thursday afternoon, in front of Platinum Pets and Exclusive Powder Coating, two businesses operating in the warehouse where the body was found.

It is not known if the victim worked at either location at this time.

Initial reports indicate the death might have been a suicide, although determining the cause of death is part of an active investigation being conducted at this time, officials said.

A representative from Platinum Pets declined to talk to the media when reached by phone Thursday afternoon.

Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics were called to the scene at 11:26 a.m., according to fire officials.

Fire officials were on scene by 11:34 a.m., and the victim was transported to Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

No other information, including the name of the victim, is available at this time, officials said.

“Platinum Pets is located in Valencia, California and is a manufacturer of eco-friendly, designer products for your pets,” according the company’s website. “Since 1996, we’ve operated our finishing business in a 15,000 square foot facility.”

Exclusive Powder Coating is a business “specializing in powder coating, sandblasting and pad printing,” according the company’s website.

Sheriff’s Department homicide detectives were still actively investigating as of publication.

No arrests have been made at this time, according to officials.

This article is so awful to read. Mentions he was found alive, but a body was found, and they aren’t ruling out suicide. The only suspicious thing here is the lack of the writers ability to produce a well written article.

  39. Linked to immigration? ? Since I graduated highschool I lost more friends to drugs living in Ur “wonderful scv”… u must be in denial drugs also had something to do with the guy getting shot at tbe recycling center trying to intervene in a drug robbery. … naive people

  44. Because you are dumb enough to think that one rash action, like closing the border is the answer to all you problems. You should really read what laws are before ignorantly trying to interpret them

I have to google it not sure if this is related

  49. Marlyn Manson says:

This happened right off Ave Mentry, close to Tibetts, not anywhere near Stanford. I work in the building behind this building and seen it go down. I hear it might have been a family dispute so I find it odd that they won’t release the victims name until next of kin is notified.
