LANCASTER – The Inland Empire 66ers rallied to tie the game in the ninth inning and scored five runs in the 10th to salvage the series finale, 19-15, over the Lancaster JetHawks on Thursday night at The Hangar.

The JetHawks led 9-4 after four innings. Inland Empire scored five runs in the top of the fifth to tie the game, but the JetHawks scored four in the bottom half to re-take a 13-9 lead.

Lancaster took a 14-12 lead to the ninth inning, but Alexander Guillen blew the save. Jordan Zimmerman, who went 6-for-7 in the game, delivered an RBI double. Jared Walsh came through with an RBI single to tie it.

Scott Griggs was summoned to pitch the 10th inning for the JetHawks and could not make it out of the frame. After retiring the leadoff batter, he gave up a single and three straight walks before being removed. Logan Cozart followed and allowed four consecutive singles.

The JetHawks scored a run in the bottom of the 10th inning and brought the tying run to the plate, but Scott Burcham popped out to shortstop to end the game.

Michael Barash went 5-for-6 in the game with a home run, one of four long balls in the game for the 66ers. Keith Greishaber had a three-run blast for Inland Empire.

Yonathan Daza and Wes Rogers had four hits apiece for the JetHawks, each coming a home run shy of the cycle. Daza had five RBI in the contest. Garrett Hampson went 3-for-4 with four RBI and four runs scored.

Sam Holland (3-1) earned the win in relief for Inland Empire with two scoreless innings. Griggs (0-2) suffered the loss. Samil De Los Santos picked up his eighth save.

The loss snapped a six-game winning streak for the JetHawks. Inland Empire saw its five-game losing streak come to an end. Inland Empire out-hit the JetHawks 23-20 in the contest. The four-hour and 38 minute game was the longest of the season for the JetHawks.

The JetHawks travel to Lake Elsinore for the opener of a three-game series on Friday night. Right-hander Trey Killian (11-8) will start for Lancaster against right-hander Miguel Diaz (0-0) First pitch is 7 p.m.
