The Santa Clarita Artists Association’s Gallery will showcase a free reception of the art show, “Rhythm & Soul” which will be held on Saturday, June 22, 5-8 p.m. located at the SCAA Gallery, 22508 6th St., Old Town Newhall, CA 91321.
“Rhythm & Soul” is a show celebrating music, dance and repetition created in multiple mediums such as acrylic, colored pencil, gouache, mixed media, oil and watercolor.
“Our goal with this show is to celebrate diversity and the performing arts,” said 2024 SCAA Gallery Chair and artist, Tobi Beck, “It’s amazing that even in a specific theme like ‘Rhythm and Soul’, artists can come together to share such varied creativity and vision. Everything from portraits and musical instruments to abstracts and geometric patterns!”
Newhall Refinery will be donating wine, appetizers and dessert for the reception. Brewery Draconum is supplying beer.
“We are so thankful for the support of our neighbors. Please visit their fine establishments before or after checking out Rhythm & Soul at the gallery,” said 2024 SCAA Gallery Co-Chair and artist, Qiana Tarlow.
Musical entertainment will be provided by SCAA artist, Gary Friedman.
The exhibit will run from June 20 – July 14 with show hours being, Fridays from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m., Saturdays 11 a.m. – 8 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Funding provided by Solar Optimum via the Los Angeles County Department of Arts and Culture Public Art in Private Development Program.
