The Office of U.S. Rep. Katie Hill, D-Agua Dulce, will be hosting mobile office hours at the Acton/Agua Dulce Library Saturday, June 29, from 12:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Constituents are encouraged to stop by and speak with staff about available services, including information about district offices and casework.
“The heart of constituent service is casework,” Hill said. “We have a dedicated staff that is committed to helping resolve constituents’ pending issues with federal departments and agencies. I’m grateful for the opportunity to get out of the office to share this work with our community.”
Congressional offices are able to serve as liaisons between constituents and the federal government, by, for example, checking on the status of applications, requesting expedited processing where appropriate, and helping constituents understand the agencies’ processes and rules. Since January, the office has closed nearly 70 cases and won more than $259,000 in veterans and social security benefits and backpay on behalf of constituents.
