Even if you attended Monday night’s open house to advocate against the High Speed Rail devastating our community, you have one final chance to let the Board members know we are resolved to protect our communities. On Tuesday, June 9, 2015, the monthly High Speed Rail Authority Board meeting will be held at 10:00 a.m. in the Ronald Reagan State Building Auditorium, located at 300 South Spring Street, Los Angeles. Now that the High Speed Rail Authority has completed community meetings along the Palmdale to Burbank project section, the Board will meet to hear final thoughts on which alignments will be included in the environmental review phase. This is the final opportunity to advocate our desire for appropriate, fully underground alignments that will not negatively impact communities or neighborhoods. If we show up, they will listen.
The public comment portion of the meeting will begin promptly at 10:00 a.m.

TRAVEL OPTIONS
Ride the Santa Clarita Transit to the Meeting for FREE!
The City has arranged to provide a free transit bus to the Board meeting, departing at 8:00 a.m. from Santa Clarita City Hall. Seats are limited so please RSVP by calling Matt Levesque at 661-255-4902 to reserve your seat.
Personal Commute
The drive from Santa Clarita to the Ronald Reagan Building is 34.3 miles and about 58 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.

Metrolink/Local Bus Option
Step 1 : Depart from Soledad Metrolink Station

View return times from Los Angeles Union Station to Soledad Station.
Tickets are $10 one way and $20 for a round trip.
Step 2 : Local bus from Union Station to Ronald Reagan Building
Suggested bus routes are Dash D and Metro Rapid Line.

Thanks to those who attended the High Speed Rail Community Meeting at the Santa Clarita Activities Center. If you were unable to attend you can view the most recent Fact Sheet with details on the Palmdale to Burbank section of the project. In addition, you can still fill out a comment card and submit to the High Speed Rail Authority.
