Man Allegedly Steals Gym-Goer’s Belongings

crossfit robbery suspect Junne 16 2016Sheriff’s deputies are searching for a man suspected of petty theft at the CrossFit Double Time gym in Saugus.

The suspect walked into the gym, which was filled with people who were working out, between 3:40 p.m. and 4:53 p.m. Wednesday, according to the report filed with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

According to a witness statement and video surveillance, a black male, approximately 25-30 years old, walked into a room where the victim’s purse was and left through the main doors. The victim reported that her wallet was missing and said she did not recognize the suspect.

An incident report was filed by the owner of the gym, according to Shirley Miller, spokeswoman for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
