Deputies from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station arrested an unnamed 41-year-old Newhall man in Saugus on Monday for outstanding warrants totaling $225,000.
Here’s the story from the station’s social media:
“A routine evening parking lot check found a suspect with over $200K in warrants.
“On Monday, April 1, around 7:30 p.m., a deputy was patrolling the parking lots of businesses near Bouquet Canyon Road and Valencia Boulevard when a man was observed walking in the parking lot, acting suspiciously.
“The deputy made contact with the man and asked if he was okay. Although the man replied “Yes” — his body language said differently. The deputy recognized the signs of the man being under the influence of a controlled substance.
“The male adult found walking in the parking lot was discovered to have methamphetamine in his fanny pack and three warrants for narcotics totaling $225,000.
“The 41-year-old Newhall man was arrested and booked at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.”
