There are still no new leads as to the whereabouts of Jason Alen Brice, a 52-year-old employee at LADWP’s Power Station in Saugus, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Missing Persons Unit detectives reported Tuesday.
“At this point, we have no leads to go on,” said LASD Det. Tamar Abraham. “We’re kind of waiting to see if we can get some help with this. Without a lead to give us directions, we are looking for a needle in many haystacks.”
Detectives are still asking the public for help in locating Brice, who is described as a Caucasian male, 5’11”, 320 lbs. and has brown-gray medium length hair and blue eyes. Brice was last seen on Jan. 10.
Brice did not return to work after a four-day vacation. Co-workers last saw Brice on Jan. 10 at approximately 5:20 p.m. at the power station located in San Francisquito Canyon. He contacted his supervisor by phone Jan. 16.
Detectives received a tip that Brice might have been seen on Jan. 26, however that lead came up empty, Abraham added. Search and rescue crews were involved early on, however, it was a matter of due diligence.
“We were just trying to search where he lives, and it’s a wooded area, we had nothing to show that he was out there,” Abraham said. “We had no leads as to where to search. We were just doing due diligence to search the general area.”
Brice’s case has been considered “At-Risk” due to the uncharacteristic nature of his disappearance.
“It is out of character for him to just leave,” Abraham said. “That to me makes it a little more ‘at-risk.’ I don’t have anything on medical issues. But from what I’m looking at, this is just completely out of character according to his boss.”
While there is no active search, Abraham hopes the community will keep their eyes open.
“We’ll continue to check databases,” she said. “But without a lead, there’s not a whole lot we can do.”
Anyone with information about this incident should contact Detective Abraham at the Sheriff’s Department’s Homicide Bureau, Missing Person’s Unit at (323) 890-5500.

Wow, not much imagination regarding what to do. How about tell us generally where he lives? How about a description of his vehicle? Was he driving a company car or truck when he was last seen or his own? Where was he going on vacation or if you don’t know is there a history of other places he liked to go.
If he is injured and laying out somewhere people could help by keeping an eye out in certain areas.
I am glad this is not my friend, the investigation seems underwhelming to say the least.
Where did Jason go on vacation?
