Six Flags Magic Mountain will offer free admission to anyone bringing a new, unwrapped toy valued at $20 or more to the theme park on Dec. 10-11. All toys collected during the event are distributed to thousands of children in the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, Los Angeles County Alliance. Over the past 10 years, this toy drive has managed to collect more than 600,000 toys for Southern California children, making it one of the most successful toy drive campaigns in the United States.
From Nov. 30-Dec. 12, shoppers at JCPenney at the Westfield Valencia Town Center are invited to turn small change into “Pennies From Heaven” by rounding up their purchases and donating the difference to a local afterschool program. The Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita Valley is one of 1,100 afterschool organizations from across the country matched with a local JCPenney store that will benefit from the proceeds raised during the pennies from heaven campaign.
