Seven adults were arrested at a Valencia hotel Tuesday during an operation conducted by the Los Angeles Regional Human Trafficking Taskforce and deputies from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station, authorities reported Wednesday afternoon.
Jerome Roberson, 32, a resident of Bakersfield, was arrested after arranging an undercover deputy sheriff to work for him as a commercial sex worker.
Roberson was booked at the SCV Sheriff’s Station on felony charges of pandering (266 I (A) (2) PC).
Five male adults were arrested after responding to sexually suggestive ads placed on several internet sites. Each of the males agreed to meet undercover Sheriff’s deputies at a local hotel for the purposes of commercial sex.
One female adult was arrested after arriving at a local hotel and soliciting sex for money from an undercover male detective.
All those arrested during the operation were transported to the SCV Sheriff’s Station and booked on prostitution charges.
The operation included task force partners from the Los Angeles Unified School District Police Department and the Los Angeles County Probation Department.
