1875 - John F. Powell, an Irish immigrant, becomes Justice of the Peace [story]
John F. Powell

Santa Clarita Valley residents have known the family-owned Italian restaurant, Sisley Kitchen, since 1993 when their doors first opened at the top of Valencia Town Center Drive in Westfield Valencia.

Now Sisley has completed a dramatic renovation that’s become a must-see destination for lunch meetings, intimate dinners, brunch crowds, cocktails (Happy Hours are now Monday through Saturday noon until 6pm and again from 9pm until closing) and for taking selfies-in-style! With an award-winning designer at the helm, they’ve created a massive new bar that seats over thirty, with a stunning chandelier centerpiece and a bar menu of craft cocktails, locally brewed IPAs on tap, and tasty Bar Bites.

The restaurant now provides different social environments for every dining need: there are a large mix of high backed booths for business or pleasure, a semi-private enclave, a community table and a staggering private dining room. Two patios: one large with tables for conventional dining, the other, an all new “West Patio” is lined with trees and lounge-style, bungalow sofas for all-hours entertaining with an exclusive menu. These distinct patios are separated by a Ferrari-red rectangular fire pit – another focal point – with adjacent seating.

The restaurant still appeals to the families that have been served for twenty-plus years, but as the city’s demographics have changed Sisley has changed with it. After a soft re-opening period, Sisley gathered feedback from loyal customers, ensuring the needs of the new and the old were both being met.

New Executive Chef Adam Bokal, a native of Santa Clarita, has contributed to Sisley’s ambitious new chapter by adding exciting seasonal dishes to the menu. Old favorites are back as well as new, in-demand offerings, to give the diner plenty of choices. (Stay tuned for more sought-after dishes in October!) The bakery and barista bar were expanded to include more award-winning desserts by Sisley’s in-house pastry chef. If it’s strictly Italian fare you’re after, you’ll still find it at Sisley, but if you want to try some dishes that Italians also love to eat (they don’t just eat pasta) you’ll find those as well. Did someone say Sous Vide cooking is being used at Sisley? Why yes, we did.

On the Sisley menu, Octopus.

There are dozens of dining options in Santa Clarita, but none with the upscale setting, home-cooked classics, and newer California fare. A bar that’s being photographed daily by awestruck customers, new lengthened Happy Hours and late-night weekend hours, perfect for your special “after party” date.

Sisley Kitchen, 24201 Valencia Blvd, Valencia, CA 91355, (661) 287-4444

  8. Use to love the old Sisley but since the renovation every thing has gone downhill except the prices

  9. Nada Quinn says:

Looks nice. I’ll have to try them again provided the management heads the warnings from previous posts?and makes appropriate changes

  10. Rick Polanco says:

Place is just not the same. Food and service wise. New management made some bad decisions.

  11. Annette says:

Two friends and I went for dinner and found the bar chandelier really beautiful. However, there was no place to wait for seating, it was necessary to sit outside to accommodate a wheelchair, we had a distracted waitress who didn’t offer bread, oil and grated parmesan. So, sadly, it seems the new focus is the bar and chandelier.
