LANCASTER – Wes Rogers went 4-for-4 and came a triple shy of the cycle as the JetHawks knocked off the Stockton Ports, 11-6, on Sunday night at The Hangar.
Rogers is now 12-for-22 in the first six games of the seven-game homestand with two home runs, six RBI, and six stolen bases. He also extended his hitting streak to eight games and scored three runs in the contest.
Brandon Gold (1-0) tossed seven innings and allowed just two runs on seven hits to earn his first victory with the JetHawks. He struck out six and did not walk a batter.
Stockton took the lead in the top of the first inning on an RBI double by Mikey White, but it was their only lead of the game. The JetHawks scored three unearned runs in the second inning and never looked back.
Chris Rabago delivered an RBI triple off the left field wall and Wilson Soriano came through with an RBI single. Soriano finished 3-for-4 in the game with a triple and two runs batted in. Rabago went 2-for-4 with three RBI.

Sandber Pimentel hit a solo home run in the third for Stockton to bring the Ports within a run, but the JetHawks scored twice in the fifth and added four in the sixth to break open the game. In the fifth, Soriano led off with his triple and Garrett Hampson followed with an RBI double. Sam Hilliard later brought home Hampson with a sacrifice fly.
Rogers blasted his homer in the seventh inning to cap his big day, a two run shot and his seventh of the season. The JetHawks out-hit the Ports, 15-7. They went 6-for-11 with runners in scoring position.
Stockton put up four runs in the top of the ninth inning without a hit. They drew four walks and there was one hit batter.
The series concludes on Monday night at The Hangar, as the JetHawks look to take three out of four. Left-hander Ty Culbreth (1-0) will start for Lancaster against left-hander Dalton Sawyer (1-1). First pitch is 6:35 p.m.
