Santa Clarita is the seventh most expensive city in the metropolitan Los Angeles area for rental of a one-bedroom apartment, according to the latest figures from the Zumper apartment rental website.
Zumper’s Los Angeles Metro Report for March 2019, covering 22 cities in metro L.A., shows the price of a one-bedroom unit in Santa Clarita increased five percent over February 2019 to $1,890.
Only Culver City’s rent grew faster than Santa Clarita’s, by 5.1 percent.
The California state median for a one-bedroom unit was $1,769 in February.
Only Santa Monica, Glendale, Los Angeles, Culver City, Pasadena and Burbank have higher average rent than Santa Clarita for a one-bedroom unit.
Rent for two-bedroom units in Santa Clarita increased 1.9 percent to $2,190.
The Zumper LA Metro Report analyzed active listings that hit the market last month. Listings are aggregated by city to calculate median asking rents.
