Santa Clarita Sports Report: May 26, 2015 – The Valencia boys volleyball team lost to Oak Park in three games in the championship match of the CIF Southern Section Division 2 playoffs.
Valencia was making its first appearance in a CIF title match since 2008.
Kyle Ensing had 17 kills for Valencia. Oak Park was the No. 1 seed in the playoffs. Valencia was the No. 2 seed.
In high school softball, the Albert Einstein Academy won its first playoff game in school history.
Einstein shut out Valley Christian of Santa Maria, 10-0, in a five-inning game in the first round of the Southern Section Division 7 playoffs.
Cassidy Cangemi pitched a one-hitter and struck out 13. She also hit a two-run home run in the first inning.
Einstein plays Animo Leadership in the second round of playoffs today.
In auto racing, Gabby Chaves, driving for Bryan Herta Autosport, was 16th in the 99th running of the Indianapolis 500. He was awarded the rookie of the year for being the highest finishing rookie driver in the race.
Juan Pablo Montoya was the Indy 500 for the second time in his career.

In the major leagues, the Dodgers beat the visiting Atlanta Braves, 6-3. The Dodgers hit three home runs in the game and scored four runs in the eighth inning.
Andre Ethier, Alex Guerrero and Jimmy Rollins homered for the Dodgers.
The Dodgers have won three of their past four games. They take on the Braves again tonight at Dodger Stadium. First pitch is at 7:10.
