Groups of deputies at Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station were trained Thursday on the use of naloxone, commonly known as Narcan®, so that they can immediately treat opioid overdoses, according to LASD PIO Shirley Miller.
“It all goes hand in hand,” Miller said in a statement. “There are many times when our deputies are first on scene at medical emergencies, including opioid overdose situations, and now with the deployment of Narcan®, they will be able to take action and render assistance in the form of a lifesaving medication.”
In addition to the training on the use of the medication, the deputies also received refresher lessons on CPR/First Aid.
“We are glad to have this valuable tool at our station because it saves lives,” Miller concluded. “We want to help individuals suffering from opioid addiction so that they get another chance at life, get the help they need, and get better. That is our hope…that is our mission.”

So were saving lives for those who don’t value their own and our laws we live by? I hope the tax payers don’t have to pay for this life saving medicine. The person who overdosed should pay and if they cant then its community service until its paid off.How come when they do save someone who has overdosed they don’t go to jail. They put them in therapy. Being locked up with Bubba , now that’s therapy right there to get your act together so your not spooning with him again.
Your an idiot… everyone deserves HELP!!!!
