All active first responders (police, fire, emergency) are invited to join the fun at Irwindale Event Center on Saturday night, Sept. 19. All they’ll need to do is show their ID card at the ticket window to gain free admittance to one of the biggest stock car cards of the 2015 season at Irwindale Speedway. All in all a very special night that thanks and salutes our great First Responders with a full night of short close-up track racing action and adventure.
There’s a spectacular pre-race show planned for Sept. 19 with many first-response vehicles and their crews “taking a bow” and getting a cheer from the fans as they take a lap or two on the banked oval at Irwindale. Fans will be able to see all of those vehicles close up and meet the drivers at the same time that they meet all of the night’s race drivers and crews right down on the track’s surface at 5:45 p.m.
It will truly be a night of celebrating our neighborhood heroes …
A single mother of two young children from our Santa Clarita Youth Activity League Center will receive a car, two car seats and toys for her young children.
In honor of first responder’s night, Seidner’s Collision Center is recognizing the incredible work the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputies do each day in our Youth Activities League (YAL) centers. Due to her participation in the Santa Clarita YAL youth programs, Rebecca has turned her life around and now her small children will be safe and ready to join our YAL family.
“The Recycled Ride Program is changing lives, and we are excited to partner with them to honor our youth, our deputies and our YAL program. We are also very grateful to Seidner Collision Center for their proactive community outreach and recognition of the authentic accomplishments our youth centers provide.” Dr. Kathleen Van Antwerp- Director of Programs, Sheriff’s Youth Foundation.
As always gates open to the fans at 4 PM and the On-Track Autograph Session starts at 5:45 PM – PLEASE COME OUT AND ENJOY THIS EVENT WITH OUR SYF TEAM.
The Sheriff’s Youth Foundation serves more than 1600 students daily at 17 YALs.
