Monday air quality is unhealthy for sensitive individuals in the Santa Clarita Valley and the East San Gabriel Valley, according to the latest air quality alert from the South Coast Air Quality Management District.
The Monday air quality alert also warns of unhealthy air for sensitive individuals in the Antelope Valley, West San Fernando Valley, the Pomona/Walnut Valley and the San Gabriel Mountains.
Los Angeles County Health Officer Muntu Davis, MD, MPH, advises people living or working in these areas with heart disease, asthma or other respiratory diseases to minimize outdoor activities.
Children who have sensitive conditions, including heart disease, asthma and other chronic respiratory diseases, should not participate in outdoor physical activity at schools, camps and other recreational programs and should stay indoors as much as possible.
