Saturday air quality will be unhealthy for sensitive individuals in the Santa Clarita Valley, according to the latest South Coast Air Quality Management District forecast.
Air quality will also be unhealthy for sensitive individuals in the Antelope Valley, East San Fernando Valley, West San Fernando Valley, San Gabriel Mountains, East San Gabriel Valley and the West San Gabriel Valley, per the alert.
Los Angeles County Health Officer Muntu Davis, MD, MPH, advises people living or working in these areas with heart disease, asthma or other respiratory diseases to minimize outdoor activities.
Children who have sensitive conditions, including heart disease, asthma and other chronic respiratory diseases, should not participate in outdoor physical activity at schools, camps and other recreational programs and should stay indoors as much as possible.
