The Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station will conduct a vaping symposium for parents entitled “Head in the Clouds: The Truth about Vaping” at City Hall on Wednesday, Sept. 11, starting at 6 p.m.

“YOU reached out, and WE listened to your concerns about vape shops selling to minors.
“During the month of August, SCV Sheriff’s Juvenile Intervention Team (J-Team) conducted an enforcement operation that targeted five different vape shops in Santa Clarita Valley.
“One of the five businesses located on Railroad Avenue in Newhall had employees cited by deputies for allegedly selling vaping products to minors illegally.
“On Sept. 11, there will be a Parent Resource Symposium at City Hall entitled ‘Head in the Clouds: The Truth about Vaping.’
“A resource fair is from 6 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and the presentation will be from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. SCV Sheriff’s Station Detective William Velek will be there to answer any questions that you may have.
“You can anonymously report illegal selling of vaping products to LA CrimeStoppers. Information provided may help deputies identify possible violations of the laws in future enforcement operations. Residents can call LA CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or use the website www.lacrimestoppers.org.”
