Stay Green logoStay Green Inc. is proud to announce its role as the presenting sponsor of HandsOn Santa Clarita: A Day of Service and Remembrance on Sept. 9 that honors those who were lost and those who rose in service after the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.

HandsOn Santa Clarita culminates with a day of volunteer service projects from 7 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Sept. 9, at five locations throughout Santa Clarita. All volunteers will participate in a 7 a.m. kick-off ceremony at William S. Hart Park in Newhall before heading to their specific service project locations. Volunteers are needed, and you can get more information and sign up by visiting www.handsonscv.org.

Leading up to the day of remembrance and service, community members are invited to visit Stay Green’s headquarters to drop off donations of goods to be included in care packages for current military personnel and first responders. Donations can be dropped off at the Stay Green corporate headquarters through Wednesday, Sept. 6. The address is 26415 Summit Circle in Santa Clarita.

“We’re asking the community to join us by participating, whether it’s donating to provide care packages for military and first responders, or by participating in the service projects taking place on Sept 9,” said Stay Green CEO Chris Angelo. “We are proud and honored to be able to serve as presenting sponsor and to help bring the community together for this special day.”

HandsOn Santa Clarita is asking for donations of the following items for the care packages (items should be new and not used):
• Hand Warmers OR Toe Warmers
• Wet Cleansing Towelettes OR Body Wipes
• All Purpose Wipes
• Travel Size Lotion (1 oz)
• Travel Size Body Powder (1 oz)
• A Disposable Razor
• Travel Size Sunscreen (1 oz)
• Mouthwash (1.2 fl oz)
• Travel Size Deodorant (0.5 oz)
• Tissue Pack
• Travel Size Hand Sanitizer (2 fl oz)
• Chapstick
• Travel Size Nail Clippers and Emery Boards (0.5 oz) Combo
• Insect Repellant Band OR Insect Wipes
• Ear Plugs
• 5 Hour Energy
• Gum
• Fruit Snacks
• Energy Bar (no chocolate)
• Gallon Size Freezer Bags
• OR Sponsor a Package by writing a $20 check to HandsOn Santa Clarita, which will cover the contents of mailing one care package.

Angelo added: “We all owe so much to those who have sacrificed to protect our freedoms. HandsOn Santa Clarita represents an opportunity to honor, to reflect and to humbly express our appreciation.”
