Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s deputies helped save a dog in the Old Orchard Road and McBean Parkway area early Wednesday and are hoping to find the owner.
Sheriff’s Station spokeswoman Shirley Miller posted about the pup on the station’s Facebook page:
“Wednesday morning around 8 a.m., this cute dog was found wandering along Old Orchard Road, near busy McBean Parkway. Although she was scared and trembling, she was very friendly & welcomed a rescuing hand. This slightly soaked baby girl was taken back to the station where our dispatchers looked after her until a deputy was free to take her to the vet. She had no tags, but was wearing a pink harness. She was transported to the Valley Lyons Pet Hospital where she was scanned, but to our disappointment-no microchip! The nice ladies over at the Pet Hospital offered to temporarily keep her there in hopes that her owner will realize she’s missing and come claim her. We hope she’s reunited.”
