Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing Tuesday and reconsider a drive-through for a proposed fast-food restaurant in Acton.
The Board of Supervisors approved the development in May without the originally proposed drive-through window.
The issue previously came before the board in November following Regional Planning Commission approval in September.
The proponent, First Street Development-Brevidoro Family Partnership, requested approval to build and operate the chain restaurant with a drive-through, as allowed under the zoning that applied at the time the development application was filed.
An appeal was filed by Paul Zerounian, owner of several Primo Burger restaurants, located in the Antelope Valley.
County staff says “while the project is not considered a high-intensity use, the location of the property being visible and adjacent to the freeway, the drive-through services proposed in conjunction with the restaurant will provide a convenient dining option for travelers along State-Route 14 and will be disruptive to the rural character of the community.”
Staff also added that “the proposed commercial center without drive-through services is compatible with the surrounding area and suitable for the proposed location.”
County staff’s recommended action is to deny the appeal and approve the conditional use permit.

Aren’t they talking about Primo Burger and not Taco Bell??
Yes, it is the Primo Burger up for the appeal hearing. Apparently Jessica Boyer writes stories she knows nothing about.
Nice try on the re-write but First Street-Brevidoro have nothing to do with this project. This Primo Burger project was heard by Planning in May, not November, and went to the Board of “Supes” yesterday. BTW, your map is completely off.
